The Salamanca, Bradford and Allegheny River Railroad Company of New York was incorporated on December 11, 1880 with a capital base of $850,000 to build a railroad 25 miles from Salamanca to the New York-Pennsylvania border. The Salamanca, Bradford and Allegheny River Railroad was incorporated in Pennsylvania on December 8, 1800.
On January 22, 1881 the Salamanca, Bradford and Allegheny River Railroad, the Salamanca, Bradford and Allegheny River Railroad of New York, Pittsburgh, Titusville & Buffalo Railway, the Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Western Railway, and the Titusville and Oil City Railway merged to form the new Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Western Railroad Company.
It appears that the Salamanca, Bradford and Allegheny River Railroad was a "paper" railroad that never laid any rail or operated any trains.
