Pennsylvania Railroad
History
The Rochester, New York and Pennsylvania Railroad Company was incorporated on February 14, 1881 in New York State. On July 11, 1881 the company merged with the Rochester, Nunda & Pittsburgh Railroad. The combined company continued operating under as the Rochester, New York and Pennsylvania Railroad.
The company was leased by the Buffalo, New York and Philadelphia Railway in 1882 who operated the line until the RNY&P corporation was merged into the Western New York and Pennsylvania Railway in 1916.
