This photograph shows Erie Railroad locomotive number 557, an E-3 class 4-4-2 locomotive built by Baldwin in 1903. This engine later saw service on the Bath & Hammondsport Railroad, a shortline in New York's wine growing region. Date and location of the photograph are unknown.
