Olean, Bradford & Warren Railway to Complete Warren Extension

The Board of directors of the Olean, Bradford & Warren Railway, at a meeting held in Buffalo last week, ultimately decided to take immediate and decisive measures towards the completion of the proposed Warren extension [sic]. The location selected will be that which extends up Lewis Run to Marshburg and following Chapel Forks to Kinzua village, where it strikes the Allegany River, along the banks of which it continues to Warren. The estimated cost of this extension is $400,000 and it expected to have the road in running order by the first of July. The route has the advantages of a good road bed, free from trestle works and sharp curves, with a fair grade, the highest being 125 feet to the mile. The extension passes through a wild and picturesque portion of McKean and Warren counties, and will open up some valuable timber lands, which hitherto have been undeveloped for want of transportation. The new band of rails will add still greater importance to Bradford, as a rail road center. --Era
