Wellsville, New York

This 1909 map shows the three railroads that services Wellsville.  The Erie Railroad is highlighted in blue, the Bradford, Eldred and Cuba narrow gauge line is highlighted in green and the Buffalo & Susquehanna Railroad is highlighted in red.

The Erie station was on Loder Street at the foot of Depot and is shown by the blue dot on the map.

The Buffalo and Susquehanna station was just off State Street and is shown by the red dot on the map.

Erie Railroad

It appears there were at least two different Erie Railroad stations in Wellsville.  One (the older one?) was a wooden frame building while the other was a red brick building with many arches.  It is possible that the wooden building was a combination freight and passenger station and in later years the new brick station was built to as a station for passengers only.
