Fourth A&GW/Erie Passenger Station
in Jamestown, NY

Fourth Passenger Station: 1931 - Present

The fourth passenger station in Jamestown is still standing on Second Street at the foot of LaFayette Street, just west of Washington Street. It is basically abandoned though the freight part of the station is being used for storage by a local manufacturing company. There have been proposals to convert it into the Lucille Ball Museum of Comedy (Ball was a native of the area), but to date, nothing has been done.

This photo is looking east and shows an Erie-Lackawanna freight pulling under the walkway (now gone). Notice the "S34" milepost indicating 34 miles to Salamanca. This is an artifact of the when Salamanca was the eastern end of the Atlantic & Great Western Railroad.
