DV Tower at
Falconer Junction, New York
DV Tower was located in Falconer Junction just
south of downtown Falconer, New York. It controlled
the interchange where the Dunkirk,
Allegany Valley and Pittsburgh Railroad (DAVP) crossed the tracks of the
Atlantic & Great Western Railway
(A&GW) and the Buffalo and Southwestern
Railroad (both later part of the
Erie Railroad).
This is a photo of DV tower taken in 1938.
This photo shows a westbound freight approaching the tower as it crosses over
from track 2 to track 1.
This October 1970 photo by Don Coppola shows Erie-Lackawanna E8 number 81 leading
a westbound freight past DV tower.
