Corning, New York was served by the main line of the Delaware Lackawanna & Western (red), the Corning Branch of the Erie Railroad (green), and the Fall Brook Branch of the New York Central Railroad (blue). The 1914 topographic map below shows the railroads running through town. Both the Erie and the NYC had large yards in downtown Corning.


The DL&W bypassed downtown Corning and stayed to the north of the Chemung River.
