Burns, New York

Burns, New York was named after the poet Robert Burns and is a town on the Erie Railroad line between Hornell and Buffalo and on the Pittsburgh, Shawmut and Northern Railroad.  The 1918 topographic map above shows the Erie running through downtown and the Shawmut tracks just to the east.
