Avoca, New York was served by the main line of the Delaware Lackawanna & Western and the Corning Branch of the Erie Railroad. The 1931 map below shows the Erie Railroad running on the east of the DL&W through town.

The Erie Railroad station was north of Chase Street between Maple Avenue and Main Street, as shown in the 1898 map below. The Erie also had a station in Avoca, PA south of Scranton.


The Delaware, Lackawanna and Western station was north of Grant Street between Main Street and Maple Avenue, as shown in the 1898 map below.
